Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Kentucky is seeking a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transport. You will ensure aircraft readiness, coordinate with dispatch and flight crews, and maintain regulatory documentation.

The role requires 2,000 total flight hours, 1,500 helicopter hours and 1,000 PIC hours, along with rotorcraft commercial certificate and instrument rating. Benefits include sign-on and retention bonuses, on-duty housing, and a 7/7 schedule.

Qualifications

• Current rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate required.
• Helicopter instrument rating and FAA Class II medical certificate required.
• Minimum flight hour thresholds: 2,000 total, 1,500 helicopter, 1,000 helicopter PIC, 500 turbine hours.
• Night flying hours: 100 hours unaided or 50 unaided with 100 aided.

Responsibilities

• Work with a medical team to transport patients safely by helicopter.
• Maintain aircraft readiness and adhere to FAR and company requirements.
• Keep regulatory documents and logs up to date.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Record change board details during shift transitions.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

• Working with a team of medical expertstosafelytransport customers to and fromlocations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatchesas described in the appropriate manuals,includingallFARand Air Evac Lifeteamrequirements, andaircraft cleanlinessduties
• MaintainaccurateAEL and regulatorydocumentation andrecord keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaboratewith dispatch, flight crews,facilities,and partners
• Provide shift change infoto successive pilotandteam followingprotocol forrecordingAir Evac Lifeteam change boarddetails
• Accountable tomaintainrequiredcertifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements
