Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Helicopter Pilot in Illinois to provide medical air transportation. The role includes ensuring aircraft readiness, coordinating with dispatch and flight crews, and maintaining regulatory documentation.

A 7/7 schedule, on‑duty housing, and substantial sign‑on and retention bonuses enhance the package. Minimums include FAA commercial rotorcraft, instrument rating, Class II medical, and thousands of flight hours.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours.
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours.
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours.
• 100 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided).
• 230 lb Weight Limit (including flight gear).
• B407 Aircraft Experience (preferred).
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches according to manuals, FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain accurate Air Evac Lifeteam and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information to the successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
