Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Helicopter Pilot for a full-time role in Texas. You will transport patients with medical teams, ensuring aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance while coordinating with dispatch and crews.

The ideal candidate holds a rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate, an instrument rating, and a current FAA Class II Medical. Significant flight hours, including turbine and night hours, are highly valued. On-site housing options and schedule stability may be available.

Qualifications

• Current rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate is required.
• Helicopter instrument rating and FAA Class II Medical Certificate required.
• Thousands of flight hours across total, helicopter, PIC and turbine hours required.
• Night flying experience is preferred; weight limits must be observed.
• B407 experience is a plus, high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients with a medical team to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches and cleanliness per manuals and FAR.
• Maintain accurate regulatory docs and Air Evac Lifeteam records.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Provide shift-change information and update change boards.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate Air Evac Lifeteam and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 100 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)
• 230 lb Weight Limit (including flight gear)
