Job summary

PGAL is hiring a Project Billing Specialist to support monthly billing ops, contract interpretation, and project setup compliance. The role emphasizes timely invoicing and strong attention to contract terms with A/E/C billing knowledge.

Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and managers, preparing invoices, and ensuring proper MWBE and insurance documentation. A strong background in Deltek and MS Office is required; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; a 2- or 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of project accounting or billing experience in AEC.
• TxDOT billing experience required and familiarity with government invoicing.
• Strong knowledge of project billing methods, contract compliance, and standard invoicing practices.
• Proficient in Deltek Vantagepoint/ Vision; proficient with PDFs (Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam).
• Excellent Excel, Outlook, and Word skills; able to manage deadlines across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Engineering Principal and Project Managers to monitor billing progress.
• Prepare invoices and backups per contract requirements.
• Execute monthly invoicing cycle and submit timely according to terms.
• Review contracts to set billing methods, frequency, and documentation needs.
• Assist with vendor invoices and inquiries; maintain AP aging and vendor accounts.
