Job summary

EKI Environment & Water, Inc is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our finance team. The role reports to the Senior Accountant and supports billing across projects from setup in Deltek Ajera to invoicing and reporting.

You will generate 125–175 invoices monthly, prepare billing packages, and ensure accuracy and timeliness in client communications. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and at least two years of consulting billing experience, with proficiency in MS Office and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
Minimum of two years billing experience for consulting business.
Experience with Deltek Ajera and Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships and serve as trusted advisor to Project Managers through project life cycle.
Set up and maintain projects in Deltek Ajera per contract requirements; read contracts for billing implications.
Generate 125–175 invoices per month and prepare monthly billing reports for Project Managers.
Process labor and expense transfers; ensure postings comply with contracts.
Submit accurate invoice packages to clients timely with required backup.
Respond to internal/external clients promptly; investigate issues and communicate resolutions.
Follow-up with clients on receipt of invoices and payment status; resolve collections with PMs.
Monitor project WIP and review aged WIP with PM; collaborate to resolve issues.
Other duties as required.
