Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain seeks an Advisor, Software Engineer to lead software quality efforts, design automated tests, and ensure specifications are met before release. You will develop Java applications, integrate IBM Sterling WMS components, and optimize SQL/PL/SQL queries for high-volume distribution operations.

Responsibilities include on‑call support, test case creation, risk analysis, and mentoring teammates to improve testing processes. Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and executing automated tests and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain IBM Sterling WMS components and interfaces.
• Develop, tune, and maintain Java applications supporting high-volume distribution.
• Create and maintain automated tests; document test cases and risk analyses.
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7/365 support.
• Coach and mentor other software quality engineers.
