Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking an Advisor, Software Developer -- IIB to provide leadership in a team setting, applying systems thinking to design, code, test, and deploy software. You will document the SDLC, develop prototypes, and deliver solutions across diverse technologies.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong Java/JSP/XML/HTML/JavaScript skills, and experience with Oracle databases. Expect collaboration with senior leaders and opportunities to mentor others in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience as a software developer or engineer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Java technologies (1.4+), JSP, XML, HTML, JavaScript.
• Experience with Oracle databases and SQL/PLSQL.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to a team of developers in designing, coding, testing, and deploying software.
• Develop and support applications using MQ, IBM Integration Bus, ESQL, Java, EDI, Oracle Database, SOAP/REST Web Services, API Connect, XML, ESB, and related technologies.
• Document software development life cycle artifacts and create prototypes for proof of concept.
• Mentor less senior developers and review deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Provide after-hours or on-call support as needed.
