Job summary

Lord Abbett in New Jersey seeks a seasoned Head of Advisor Consultant Development to lead the Internal Sales training engine from onboarding to Regional Manager readiness. You’ll design curricula, coach new hires, and ensure consistent sales messaging and progression.

You’ll partner with HR and Sales for recruiting and internships, while cultivating an inclusive, high-performance culture. The role reports to the Head of Internal Sales and requires deep experience in advisor development, CRM

Qualifications

• SIE, Series 7 and 66 licenses, Series 24 a plus.
• 7-8 years of experience in Internal Sales, advisor development, or sales leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the Advisor Consultant development path from onboarding through Regional Manager readiness.
• Provide coaching, feedback, call reviews, development planning, and performance accountability for new hires.
• Lead onboarding and training programs spanning firm knowledge, product, sales process, CRM/data, and territory management.
• Partner with HR and Sales leadership on recruiting strategy, candidate assessment, interview discipline, and talent pipeline development.
• Oversee summer intern program as a talent source and culture builder.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and develop future Regional Manager candidates.
• Model an inclusive, learning-oriented culture focused on coaching, continuous improvement, and high performance.
