Job summary

Grace Adventures in Michigan seeks seasonal staff to run and maintain diverse activity sites for campers and guests, delivering programs such as Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, Outdoor Activities, Teambuilding, and Group Games while ensuring safety and hospitality.

You will join a Christ-centered ministry, stay physically fit, and participate in staff training; housing and meals are provided during the contract dates with a focus on teamwork and service.

Qualifications

• Must have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Ability to communicate with kids and adults.
• Good health and stamina to implement a summer camp program.
• Willing and teachable attitude.
• Team-based mindset.
• Minimum age 17 years old.
• Lifeguard certification preferred; training available.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run activity sites according to company procedures (Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, Outdoor Activities, Teambuilding, Group Games).
• Assist with management and maintenance of activity sites and program areas.
• Build relationships with staff and campers.
• Host meals.
• Participate in skits and other program elements.
• Maintain a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Stay physically fit to minister.
• Complete staff training and follow staff expectations.
• Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds.
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Obey and enforce camp rules and policies.
• Implement camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence.
• Run activity sites per procedures (repeat list).
• Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• We are looking for fun-focused, hard-working individuals who can fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps and guest groups by running and maintaining a variety of programmed activities and activity sites to serve campers and guests.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run activity sites according to company procedures, including, but not limited to: Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, Outdoor Activities, Teambuilding, and Group Games
• Assist with management and maintenance of activity sites and program areas
• Build relationships with staff and campers
• Host meals
• Participate in skits and other program elements

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete staff training and follow all staff expectations
• Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds

POSITION TYPE: Seasonal

HOUSING: Provided throughout contract dates

MEALS: Provided throughout contract dates whenever campers or guests are being served

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them
• Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions.
• Willing and teachable attitude

• Minimum age 17 years old
• Lifeguard Certification (not required, but desired, training available)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License (preferred, but not required)
