Job summary

Grace Adventures seeks a dedicated seasonal staff member to lead and support the worship team during summer camps and guest groups. You will facilitate worship experiences across indoor and outdoor environments and help train and supervise other staff as part of the worship leadership team.

You will plan set lists, lead rehearsals, and ensure high-quality media and AV support. A strong faith commitment and ability to engage campers and staff are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them.
• Good health and stamina to implement a summer camp program.
• Willing and teachable attitude.
• Musical talent and experience playing with and leading worship teams.
• Team-based mindset.
• Lifeguard Certification (not required, training provided).
• Minimum age 18 years old (21 or older preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the worship team to facilitate worship experiences for campers, staff, and families.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps and guest groups by leading and supporting the members of the worship team in facilitating worship experiences and in their other duties.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help run camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence
• Complete staff training and follow all camp policies
• Stay spiritually and physically fit to minister
• Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds
• Oversee, encourage, and provide feedback and accountability to other staff as part of the summer leadership team

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Lead and support the members of the worship team as you collectively facilitate worship experience for campers entering 2nd - 12th grades, staff, and families in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments typically multiple times per day.
• Plan and prepare age and environment appropriate set lists
• Lead rehearsals
• Teach and equip the worship team in necessary skills and understanding
• Model full engagement in all aspects of being a member of the worship team:
• Strive for excellence in your musicianship
• Plan and prepare media elements
• Understand the technology and systems that allow worship to happen in our various spaces
• Assist in maintaining the audiovisual equipment associated with the worship spaces
• Obey and enforce all camp rules and policies
• Run activity sites according to Grace procedures including (but not limited to):
• Target Sports: Slingshots, archery, BB guns, 22's, shotguns, laser tag, etc...
• Waterfront: Canoes & kayaks, swimming, blobbing, etc...
• High Adventure: Climbing tower, ropes course, zipline, etc...
• Outdoor Activities: Biking, group games, etc...
• Cooperatives and Teambuilding
• Attend all staff meetings
• Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence
• Support Community Worship as assigned
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)
