Job summary

Grace Adventures is seeking relational and responsible individuals to support our summer camp mission by supervising campers and meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. You will build relationships, model Christ’s joy, and ensure safe, positive camp experiences.

Responsibilities include leading cabin Bible studies, conducting weekly one-on-one conversations, and completing weekly paperwork. Housing and meals are provided for the contract period, and you’ll participate in staff

Qualifications

• Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Knowledge of and love for God's Word.
• Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them.
• Good health and stamina for long hours, sleeping in cabins, and varying weather.
• Willing and teachable attitude.
• Team-based mindset.
• Experience in teaching kids.
• Willingness to participate in camp activities.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Have an intentional one-on-one conversation with each camper weekly.
• Complete all paperwork weekly.

• Complete staff training and follow staff expectations.
• Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds.
• Attend all camp activities and meals.
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Enforce camp rules and policies.
• Implement camp programs with excellence.
• Run activity sites (Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, Outdoor Activities, Teambuilding, Group Games).
• Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• We are looking for relational, fun, responsible individuals who can fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps by providing supervision and care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the campers assigned to you.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build relationships with campers
• Model the joy of Christ
• Supervise campers effectively
• Be responsible for the conduct of your campers and conduct behavior management based on training
• Lead cabin bible studies
• Have an intentional one-on-one conversation with each camper under your care each week
• Complete all paperwork weekly

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Stay physically fit to be able to minister
• Complete staff training and follow all staff expectations
• Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds
• Attend all camp activities and meals
• Attend all staff meetings
• Obey and enforce all camp rules and policies
• Implement camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence
• Run activity sites according to company procedures, including, but not limited to: Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, Outdoor Activities, Teambuilding, and Group Games
• Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)

POSITION TYPE: Seasonal

HOUSING: Provided throughout contract dates

MEALS: Provided throughout contract dates whenever campers or guests are being served

Requirements

• Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours, sleeping in cabins with campers and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions.
