Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join our Service Team in Texas during peak seasons. You’ll help with vehicle readiness, basic repairs, and shop support while training toward a future Service Technician role. This is a hands-on, development-focused entry point with mentorship and cross-functional opportunities.

The role emphasizes learning through the TRAIL program, RLN modules, and real-world shop presence, with a teamwork-driven, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in automotive repair or adjacent technical industry is highly preferred.
• Desire to learn, adaptable, and hands-on.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license (no major suspensions in 3–5 years).
• Able to work a flexible 40-hour week including weekends/holidays; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands for tools, data entry, and customer communications.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, regulations, and schematics.
• Willing to interact with customers, affiliates, and suppliers on-site.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Site Operations: receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
• Maintain vehicle quality and delivery readiness through washing, detailing, and charging.
• Manage vehicle logistics, lot organization, shuttling, and secure key management.
• Maintain a clean, safe service center environment following 5S principles.
• Service Production Support: assist technicians with basic repairs and PDI tasks.
• Learn to safely use basic hand and power tools under supervision.
• Support the workshop by keeping tools and equipment ready.
• Training & Career Development: participate in TRAIL program and RLN modules.
• Receive mentorship and on-the-job training for Service Technician role.
• Explore a dedicated pathway into a long-term Service Technician career.
• Maintain cross-functional support to other areas to ensure site success.
