The position emphasizes mentorship, protocol standardization, and education for patients and families, with a focus on quality outcomes and department initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program; degree verified.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; advanced credential pursued and maintained.
• Current license to practice Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care procedures per physician orders and scope of practice.
• Assesses cardiopulmonary status via exam, history, and response to therapy.
• Communicates care plans to physicians, patients, families, and staff.
• Independently performs majority of procedures and interventions at the facility.
• Participates in clinical program initiatives and monitors outcomes.
• Maintains and updates patient records to satisfy requirements.
