Akron Children's is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to provide primary and specialty nursing care in collaboration with physicians. The role includes performing health assessments, developing diagnoses and treatment plans, and participating in rounds to ensure quality patient care.

The APN will practice under board certification with prescriptive authority, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention across varied patient populations.

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio RN license and NP certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex conditions across acute, chronic, and critical care settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams; participate in rounds and discharge planning.
• Assess health status, perform history and physicals, and develop treatment plans.
• Order and interpret tests, monitor medications within prescriptive authority.
• Ensure quality care through FPPE/OPPE and ORC compliance.
• Promote health, disease prevention, and patient education.
• Support staff and residents as a resource and clinical preceptor.
• Maintain documentation and complete discharge summaries as required.
