Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to support our cardiology team. The role provides outpatient and limited inpatient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, in a high-acuity cardiac setting.

The successful candidate will hold an Illinois NP/PA license or eligible, have cardiology experience, ACLS/BLS, and at least one year in cardiology or internal medicine.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois NP/PA license in good standing.
• Cardiology experience or strong cardiovascular background.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and cardiac evaluations.
• Manage chronic cardiac conditions such as CHF, CAD, arrhythmias, and post-MI care.
• Assist with medication management, lifestyle counseling, and patient education.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to monitor and adjust treatment plans.
• Support post-discharge follow-up and transitional care.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
