Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

You will observe patients, document changes, assist with ADLs, perform phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, and other advanced care, while supporting lab collection and clerical tasks to keep care running

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate
