Job summary

Belton Regional Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Critical Care unit. You will work under a registered nurse to perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV/catheter removal, wound care, and routine ADL assistance. This role supports compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team.
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds.
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate.
