Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City seeks an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Neuro PCU to join a compassionate, patient-centered care team. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued.

Qualifications

• Must have current Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team.
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds.
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate.
