Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department. Under close supervision, you will support physicians and nurses by performing essential patient care tasks and basic laboratory procedures.

You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, transport patients, monitor vital signs, and participate in point-of-care testing while maintaining a strong focus on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Missouri license as CPCT-A, CNA, or EMT.
• Minimum six months direct patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of growth and development across life stages.
• Current BLS certification.
• Self-motivated and able to follow hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy.
• Perform 12 lead EKGs.
• Transport patients to other departments.
• Place patients on cardiac and vital sign monitor.
• Perform Point of Care Testing.
• Obtain lab specimens and document care/procedures.
