Job summary

Research Medical Center is hiring an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the PCU. You will work under a registered nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, perform advanced clinical tasks, and help create a welcoming environment for patients and families.

You will observe and communicate patient changes, assist with ADLs, and perform phlebotomy and telemetry duties, ensuring safe, efficient care delivery. This role emphasizes responsiveness and empathy.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate with the nursing team.
• Assist with daily living activities and help keep patients comfortable.
• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV and catheter removal, and wound care.
• Support lab specimen collection and clerical tasks to keep care flow smooth.
• Proactively anticipate patient needs and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.
