Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, VA is hiring an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nurses and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. Under RN guidance, you will perform advanced clinical tasks, monitor patients, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities include observing changes, assisting with daily ADLs, phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV line/catheter care, wound care, and supporting lab collection

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CNA Program preferred.
• 3 years patient care experience in a healthcare facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team.
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds.
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate.
