Job summary

Leidos is supporting the DISA DGOC on Ford Island, HI, with a Senior Network Engineer II alignment for the JFN GSMO-II program. This role focuses on maintaining continuous DISN/GIG services and coordinating with DoD customers and partners.

Prospective candidates should have DoD Top Secret clearance, DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification, and 24x7 shift readiness to sustain mission-critical operations in a dynamic govt environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
• Able to work in a 24x7 shift work environment. Working knowledge of both Transport and IP network topologies.
• Salary Range is $85-$100k
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations to include configuration and analysis of customer circuits across optical and electro-optical multiplexers, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore customer connectivity during outages and maintenance actions.
• Work with internal/external customers and government agencies to ensure maximum network availability.
• Proactively monitor network alarms across management tools.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacement and software configurations.
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions in incident management.
• Assess, identify and recommend resolutions leveraging knowledge of routers, switches, crypto devices, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, optical transport, MPLS, TDM, SDH/SONET.
