Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer to support the DISA DGOC at Scott AFB, IL. The role involves hands-on network operations, circuit analysis, and incident management across optical, TDM, routers, and switches.

Required DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification, BS degree with 2–4 years’ experience (or a Master’s with less than 2 years), and active DoD Secret clearance. Work is in a 24x7 shift environment on-site at Scott AFB.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Able to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.
• Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Requires working knowledge of Transport and IP network topologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of customer circuits across optical and electro-optical multiplexers, TDM, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore connectivity during outages and maintenance actions.
• Collaborate with customers and engineers across NOCs to maximize network availability and minimize mission impact.
• Proactively monitor network alarms with platform-specific management tools.
• Document outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions in incident management applications.
• Assess and recommend resolutions leveraging knowledge of routers, switches, crypto devices, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, and related technologies.
