Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing at the Saint Francisville, LA site. You will manage material control transactions for major capital equipment under supervision, using established policies and tools, and coordinating with procurement and project teams.

The role emphasizes understanding material control processes, reviewing shipment docs, managing MRRs/MIRs/OS&Ds, and maintaining control documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, or related field.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience.
• 2+ years on-site experience in large-scale construction.
• OSHA 10‑hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects preferred.
• MS Office and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with inventory control and procurement workflows (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).
• Interest in Construction Management or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, tools, and procurement basics.
• Review shipment release documentation and ensure PO terms are met.
• Advise on shipment releases and understand shipment authorization.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS/Ds.
• Maintain a materials preservation register and control docs.
• Identify material control risks and coordinate OS&D resolutions.
• Work under supervision with no direct reports.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management

2+ years of on-site construction experience

2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience
