Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds per operational needs. The role requires reading prints, performing electro/mechanical repairs, and adhering to LOTO and safety standards.

CMMS experience is a plus; strong communication and independent work abilities are essential. Responsibilities include on-site service, data entry in CMMS, and achieving 90% of target repair times while collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma/GED with 3+ years maintenance experience, or 5+ years in related field, or 2-year technical school plus 3+ years experience.
• Journeyman's Card preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and CMMS is a plus but not required from external candidates, internal candidates must know CMMS.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of facility, equipment, and grounds in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
• Perform on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 90% of estimated repair times.
• Collaborate with other departments and train other employees if needed.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safe practices; manage hazardous waste per EHS guidelines.
