Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform on-site service and repair of facility equipment with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

A high school diploma is required, with an Associate's degree preferred or related experience. Training to Maintenance Technician 1 will be provided, and initial duties include daily assignments, reading electrical/mechanical drawings, and collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Must meet one of: 6 months First Solar manufacturing experience; or 6 months outside manufacturing/ mechanical/ agricultural experience; or Military experience; or Graduate from vocational High School with no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 70% of Estimated Repair Times.
• Collaborates with other departments.
• Follows OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices on all work assignments.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Performs other assignments as required.
• Manage waste generated from work as instructed.
• Complete First Solar Maintenance Technician 1 training program.
• Other duties as assigned.
