Job summary

First Solar in Trinity, Alabama seeks a maintenance technician to perform on-site maintenance of facility, equipment and grounds ensuring safety and efficiency. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with multiple pathways for experience, with Journeyman’s Card preferred.

You will read electrical/mechanical drawings, operate CMMS, and meet repair targets. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in maintenance or 5+ years in related fields, plus knowledge of manufacturing equipment and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years maintenance experience
• Alternative: 5+ years related field experience
• Journeyman’s Card preferred
• CMMS knowledge is a plus
• Read electrical/mechanical drawings and follow safety practices

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments and on-site service/repair of equipment
• Meets at least 90% of estimated repair times
• Collaborates with other departments
• Follows OSHA/EPA and company safety practices
• Identifies opportunities for cost savings
• May train other employees
• May fill in as Team Lead when needed
• Manage waste and ensure proper PPE usage
