Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to perform on-site service and repair of equipment, and to maintain the facility and grounds in a cost-efficient manner at their Trinity, AL location.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an Associate's degree in a technical field, plus 6 months of manufacturing or related experience, or military experience; completion of a maintenance training program is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Must meet one of the following: 6 months manufacturing experience or 6 months outside manufacturing experience, or military experience, or vocational High School graduate with no experience.
• Must pass community college entrance exam and complete manufacturing maintenance training program.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
• Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Must meet at least 70% of Estimated Repair Times.
• Interfaces with other departments.
• Follows standard OSHA, EPA and company safe practices on all work assignments.
• Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Performs other assignments as required.
• Responsible to manage waste generated from any work that is performed as instructed.
• Will complete First Solar Maintenance Technician 1 training program.
