Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in Katy, LA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to set up, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, automation, robotics and related equipment with minimal supervision.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document work in CMMS, mentor junior staff, assist with facility projects, certify lift equipment, and support safety practices. A high school diploma and 5 years of equipment repair experience are required; an apprenticeship or trade certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience with forklift, conveyor and general equipment repair and maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting complex equipment.
• Graduate of an apprenticeship program or hold current trade certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and ad-hoc repairs on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment, escalate as needed, and document issues in maintenance logs.
• Document all work in CMMS and maintain operation logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems that are tested on a routine basis.
• Mentor maintenance personnel and assist with two-person tasks when required.
• Perform facility/building project work including lighting, carpentry, plumbing and other maintenance tasks.
• Assemble and test equipment to verify operation; analyze delays and verify corrective actions.
• Certify on industrial lift equipment (picks, reaches, skates, booms, scissor lifts).
• Oversee projects, provide guidance to junior engineers and ensure safe, efficient execution.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC or equivalent
