Job summary

Service Experts Heating & AC LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC service technician to diagnose, service, and repair residential and light commercial systems. You will analyze and resolve customer issues, explain findings, and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining professional standards and safety.

You will handle parts, documentation, and coordination with dispatch during service calls. You should have 4+ years of HVAC experience, EPA safety certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 4+ years’ HVAC experience; technical training cert required.
• Must possess licenses/certifications as required by laws for the area.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Skilled at servicing heating, cooling, ventilation equipment and related accessories.
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and ability to operate necessary tools and equipment.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant and duct systems.
• Proficient at starting up, balancing airflow, and aligning belts/pulleys on systems with minimal supervision.
• Capable of installing basic duct fittings.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic air cleaners, refrigeration, hot water, steam boiler, humidifier systems.
• Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Flexible hours and on-call availability.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, stairs, crawl spaces; lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and service residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and accessories.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely manner.
• Inspect equipment and perform diagnostics to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Complete routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed.
• Handle delivery/collection of parts and paperwork; collect payments from customers.
• Communicate with dispatch to provide accurate status updates.
• Promote products and services to customers and generate sales leads.
• Maintain company property, vehicles and tools in good condition and accounted for.
• Follow standard procedures; ensure vehicle is stocked and defective parts are returned.
• Perform similar or other duties as needed.
