Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, chassis, refuse bodies, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and steering systems on-site and while on the road. The role requires diagnosing multi-system issues with strong technical expertise and 5–7 years of heavy-duty truck experience.

ASE certifications are a plus; CDL B is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5 -7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy‑duty trucks.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems, performing complex repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance; Refuse bodies; Air and hydraulic braking; Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems; HVAC diagnostics and repair; Aftertreatment systems and REGEN diagnostics.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and perform line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
