Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an experienced diesel technician to maintain and repair heavy‑duty trucks, both on‑site and on the road. You’ll diagnose engines, fuel and electrical systems, and perform line maintenance with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi‑system issues with technical expertise.
• 5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Inspections/repairs without supervision in heavy truck systems possible.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1‑T8) a plus.
• LNG and/or CNG experience a plus.
• CDL Class B or higher a plus; CDL B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge and repairs on chassis, refuse bodies, and diesel systems.
• Repair and diagnose engine, transmissions, and fuel systems.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, brake, and aftertreatment systems.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication; use diagnostic tools.
