Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in an outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and supervise staff and assistants.

Responsibilities include orthotic fabrication, post-surgical rehab, and interdisciplinary collaboration with surgeons and other therapists to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students, and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; scar management and return-to-work rehab as needed.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
