Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) in Sarasota, FL. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and related equipment while expanding your technical expertise.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of diesel experience, knowledge of hydraulics/electrical systems, and a valid driver's license. ASE and CDL certifications are a plus; toolset required. Join a team focused on safety and growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension and PM.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; must provide basic tools.
• ASE/Brake/Class A CDL certifications are a plus; bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension and transmissions.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize reliability.
• Repair refuse trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment as part of a team.
• Use diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify failures.
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation; assist with safety best practices.
