Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment across chassis, bodies, and control systems. The role covers engine work, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and braking systems, with on-road service as needed.

Qualifications include 3–5 years of technician experience or recent automotive school graduation, ASE certifications (T1–T8) a plus, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of technician experience or recent graduation from an automotive program within 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies with hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Repair light engine, suspension, drivetrain, steering and HVAC systems.
• Perform line welding and fabrication; basic tire work as needed.
• Safely provide road service to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete company training.
