Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound studies. You will review clinical information, position patients, select probes, and acquire high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will identify and label images, enter study data into the RIS, and communicate findings to the physician team. Two years of experience and formal sonography training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography from an accredited program.
• Typically 2 years of Sonographer experience preferred.
• Proficient in general, vascular and cardiac ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and cardiac exams.
• Review records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select transducers for optimal images.
• Identify and label images with patient data and location.
• Enter data into RIS and document billing codes accurately.
• Communicate findings to physicians and document results.
