Job summary

Guardian-Alarm is seeking a Collections Specialist II to manage a portfolio of complex, advanced-stage delinquent accounts within established guidelines. You will analyze histories, negotiate payment plans and approved settlements, and coordinate with internal teams to reach resolution while maintaining high professional standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of collections processes, excellent communication, and the ability to operate independently in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of collections, delinquency management, and account-resolution practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage difficult financial conversations professionally.
• Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, and customer de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex and advanced-stage delinquent accounts, including accounts 121+ days past due.
• Independently apply collection strategies based on account status, history, and procedures.
• Contact customers to secure payment and resolve balances.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements within approved authority.
• Review account histories to determine next steps and escalate when needed.
• Partner with internal departments to resolve issues affecting collection activity.
