Job summary

Pearce Services in Hobbs, NM is seeking an Advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician for our Renewables OM division to perform O&M tasks on commercial solar projects nationwide, with emphasis on the Hobbs area. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and service BESS equipment at sites while adhering to safety standards.

Candidates should have 1–4+ years electrical experience, renewable energy background, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 1-4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components.
• 1-4+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Electrical certifications are preferred such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, JHAs, and RAs.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
