Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking a Solar O&M BESS Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to support renewable energy projects across the United States, with regional travel to Laredo, Texas. The role emphasizes electrical expertise, safety, and strong communication with vendors and clients.

The candidate will perform preventive maintenance on BESS equipment, conduct safety planning, and supervise on-site field work while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components.
• 3-4+ years of Renewable energy experience preferred.
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Electrical certifications are preferred such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person under LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, JHAs, and RAs.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work including supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
