Job summary

Renewable Energy Partners in California is seeking a Solar & Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) O&M Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and performance optimization of commercial solar PV and energy storage systems.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnose 208V/480V three-phase systems, coordinate with manufacturers, and document results while traveling to project sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in solar PV, electrical, industrial maintenance, energy storage, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and construction drawings.
• Pass pre-employment background check including drug/alcohol screen and DMV report.
• Experience working with 208V and 480V three-phase electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on solar PV systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control issues.
• Diagnose inverter faults, grid-related issues, and production deficiencies.
• Inspect and troubleshoot PV modules, disconnects, breakers, and inverters.
• Assist with inverter replacements, RMAs, commissioning, and system restoration.
• Monitor alarms and system performance; document results and corrective actions.
• Perform visual inspections for safety concerns and follow arc-flash requirements.
• Travel to project sites as required and coordinate with stakeholders.
