Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an Experienced Travel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician for the PEARCE Renewables ESS division to perform O&M tasks on BESS and data center equipment at commercial and industrial solar projects across the United States.

This role requires up to 100% travel across the U.S., with per diem provided during travel and a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency in field operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.
• 2+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment and Data Centers.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
