Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Experienced Travel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician to support Pearce Renewables ESS projects across the United States. This role involves hands-on O&M work and electrical troubleshooting on commercial and industrial solar sites, with up to 100% travel and per diem provided.

Candidates should have 2+ years of electrical proficiency, 2+ years of renewable energy experience, and safety certifications such as OSHA 10/30 and NFPA70E.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems.
• 2+ years of renewable energy experience preferred.
• Safety-focused with attention to detail.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10/30 and NFPA70E preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on BESS equipment.
• Perform LOTO of equipment as authorized person.
• Lead pre-task planning and safety assessments (JHAs, RAs).
• Interact with vendors and customers professionally.
• Support site work and supervise field activities focusing on safety and quality.
