Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an experienced Travel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician for the PEARCE Renewables ESS division to perform O&M tasks on commercial and industrial solar projects across the United States.

This travel-intensive role requires up to 100% travel, with per diem provided. The ideal candidate has electrical experience, safety certification, and strong communication skills to coordinate with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components.
• 2+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System equipment and Data Centers.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person under proper LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning and risk assessments.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Assist as a team member to support site work, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
