Job summary

Pearce Services in the United States is seeking an Advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician for the PEARCE Renewables OM division to perform O&M and related physical labor at commercial and industrial solar projects across the country. Residence within 50 miles of New Haven, CT is preferred.

Requirements include 2–4+ years electrical experience, renewable energy background, safety focus, and OSHA/NFPA70E certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components.
• 2–4+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail with safe solutions.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
