Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Advanced BESS Technician to perform O&M on Battery Energy Storage Systems across U.S. sites. Local candidates within 50 miles of New Haven, CT preferred. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in safety planning with JHAs and RAs.

Responsibilities include LOTO compliance, coordinating with vendors, supervising on-site field work focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. A strong safety mindset and electrical background are required.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.
• 2-4+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person under proper LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, JHAs, and RAs.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
