Job summary
Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center is seeking an Adult Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to provide advanced pharmacotherapy expertise in hematology, oncology, and cellular therapy. The role partners with physicians, APPs, and oncology nurses to optimize chemotherapy and supportive care, guiding drug, dose, route, and duration based on patient factors.
The position emphasizes collaboration to improve patient outcomes, inpatient admissions, and outpatient/infusion service
Qualifications
- PharmD degree required and PA licensure or eligibility.
- PGY-2 Oncology residency with BCOP required within 1 year of hire.
- PGY-1 General Practice residency + 3 years of relevant experience and BCOP required within 1 year of hire.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience and BCOP required within 1 year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical expertise in hematology, oncology, and cellular therapy pharmacotherapy.
- Collaborate with hematology/oncology physicians and nursing staff to optimize regimens and supportive care.
- Recommend drug, dose, route, and duration based on patient factors and improve inpatient/outpatient flow.
