Job summary

Optimist Boys Home & Ranch in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Part-Time Case Manager for the APSS program. You will connect clients with community resources, help navigate adoption processes, and assist in meeting needs while in the program.

The role involves intake, coordinating with DCFS, Mental Health, courts, schools and healthcare providers, documenting SMART goals, facilitating parenting education, and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with agency guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience providing support services / direct client services in the community.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience in Adoption programs preferred.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills.
• Valid California driver's license and automobile insurance; clean driving record.
• Fingerprint background check, TB test, physical exam, and drug screening required.
• Employees must be emotionally stable and model appropriate behavior around children and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake for newly referred children or adults.
• Access community-based resources aligned with family needs.
• Interface with DCFS, Department of Mental Health, courts, schools, and healthcare providers.
• Develop needs/strength assessments and SMART goals.
• Provide adoption-focused parenting education.
• Lead monthly parenting support group.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safety guidelines.
• Meet deadlines and participate in supervision and meetings.
