Job summary

Apploi is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Risk Management to join our clinical leadership team. This RN leader role focuses on risk management, regulatory compliance, and resident safety within a skilled nursing facility.

The ADON will collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary teams to identify risks, drive corrective actions, support QAPI, and promote a culture of safety. Full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in the applicable state.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall clinical operations of the nursing department.
• Lead and oversee the facility's risk management and resident safety programs.
• Monitor incidents, accidents, adverse events, and potential areas of clinical risk.
• Conduct investigations and develop appropriate corrective action plans.
• Identify trends and implement strategies to prevent recurring incidents.
• Assist with Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Review clinical documentation, care plans, and resident records for compliance and quality.
• Monitor falls, skin issues, medication errors, infections, hospitalizations, and other quality indicators.
• Ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation of incidents and clinical concerns.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, therapy, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education and training to nursing staff regarding clinical practices, risk prevention, and regulatory requirements.
