Job summary

Nexus Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing and lead daily operations in our nursing department. The ADON will provide clinical leadership, supervise staff, and help maintain a safe, resident-centered environment.

You will oversee nursing activities, evaluate performance, conduct rounds, and address concerns while ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth admissions for new residents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in long-term care preferred.
• Active IL RN license in good standing.
• Familiarity with PointClickCare and medical software.
• Ability to build rapport with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and delegate nursing activities across the department.
• Evaluate nursing performance and drive improvements.
• Conduct patient rounds and address resident complaints.
• Monitor and train nursing staff for quality care.
• Ensure insurance paperwork for incoming residents is complete.
• Perform admission assessments for new residents.
