Job summary

Outfield-Healthcare-Partners in Texas is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to help lead the Skilled Nursing Facility. The ADON will support the Director of Nurses and share authority to supervise and guide nursing operations.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to high standards of resident care, safety, and regulatory compliance. An RN preferred, with a focus on supervision and program oversight.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as a nurse in Texas; RN preferred.
• 2+ years of supervision experience.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing or approved LVN program.
• Good mental and physical health; leadership ability and flexibility.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and county laws governing skilled care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nurses as instructed and carry out tasks or supervision in the Director’s absence.
• Supervise nursing personnel and participate in staffing and orientation.
• Periodically review residents’ records and reports.
• Assist in investigations of unusual occurrences or alleged abuse; promptly notify the Director of Nurses.
• Ensure that all resident rights are protected and upheld.
